What a shock it was to step on the scale-I lost 7 lbs in one week on the BFC and I couldn't believe how easy it was. I've eliminated all the high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oil from my cabinets and have been sticking to the 15/6 rule. I'm never starving or deprived. Best diet hands down, thank you Jorge:)

I have only been on this new eating plan for 3 days and I am already no longer having any cravings! I also do not have as much appetite. I am noticing that I am leaving food on my plate and I really don't feel hungry at all. I would like to lose 15 inches off my waist and 100 pounds overall. I also have had lapband surgery which failed miserably. I love this it is easily and you never feel deprived I have actually got my sugars down to less than 10!

Wow! I appreciate all of your videos. They are always so informative and motivating. My husband and I have been following your BFC for about 3 weeks now, and we've both noticed some very dramatic changes already. I lost 6 pounds in the first week and am now up to 10 lbs and 3.5 inches gone! I have a ways to go to reach my goal but we can already tell a huge difference in the way we feel -- my old aches and pains and constant headaches seem to be completely gone as well. My husband have been doing your belly fat cure for 3 weeks and I first lost 2lb. and he lost 3lb but I have put it back on. I have lost 3inches in my waist.

I am 60 years young and have tried a lot of things even HCG. The HCG was amazing but I was hungry all the time. I lost over 20 pounds and went from a size 10 to a size 4/6 but after the cycle was completed the weight started creeping back on. I wish I had known about this program then I wouldn't have gained any weight back and would have lost more..

Hi! Jorge, I need help. In the last year, I've lost 87 lbs cutting back on carbs and sugar but over the Holidays I've gained several pounds back. I now have read your book and want to lose at least 15 more lbs to look and feel better. I am looking at the sugar and carb grams on everything I pick up. It seems easy to keep up with the sugar but I'm having a problem keeping up with the carbs. Is there a solution to doing better? I think I'm mindlessly counting but not losing. Also, if we are allowed all these good fats, how do we keep from eating the bad fats if we no longer count or eat low-fat products because of the sugar contents? Help! I'm a little lost here. I am doing something wrong and not losing. I love cereal and do we now use half and half or what for our milk? Please be patient with me. I can really be an advocate for you. I have been on numerous eating plans and diets over my 57 years. I have battled belly fat as long as I can remember.
2 weeks ago yesterday I began playing around with the belly fat cure - not really understanding it but reading labels and cutting out the sugar and bad carbs. Week 1 I lost 9 pounds and now I'm at 12. I will be reading more and more to understand more fully and will report back. Love that you keep these great videos coming, Jorge! I have been doing BFC since August and have lost 30 pounds and 9.5 inches off my waist. I finally got motivated because I know that in about a year I'm going to leave my job and have to shop for health insurance on my own. I don't want it to be astronomically expensive so thought I'd better get serious about losing the extra weight. I still have about 50 pounds to go but don't have a single doubt in my mind that I'll succeed. This program works and I love it. While I was generally healthy all my numbers had begun to creep up, blood pressure, cholesterol, etc. Now I'm in the normal range all around and loving it. Additionally, I have three sisters who one by one have decided to give it a try and are seeing success as well. Thank you for bringing the issues about the poison that excessive sugar is to the nation's attention!
I think this is great for those who haven't done this type of diet before.
I have had zero results, but I have done the low and no carb, no sugar diets until they didn't work anymore so this is not working either. low carb and no sugar has been my lifestyle for years because I believe its healthier but have actually gone back up to my highest weight and have a larger waist than ever.
Could you come up with a plan for those of us this won't work for because we have already done something similar?

I must say that I was very skeptical of the BFC at first. I've been on SO many diets and nothing was working! So, I decided to follow your advice strictly: 15/6, 20 min walking. AND, in one week, I lost 14 pounds!! It was truly amazing!! My family has now joined me in this new "Lifestyle" of eating and even my little kids (9 & 7) are reading labels or the amounts of sugar and making wiser choices based on that!!! And the best part, no one feels like they are starving and being deprived of food!

Great videos! The waist/hip ratio is something I had not heard of before and I would like to know what is a healthy waist/hip ratio? I've done a popular diet several times and always lost significant amounts of weight, but I was constantly thinking about food and I was killing myself in the gym. I would ultimately get burned out and gain all the weight back, and then some. I have been on the BFC for 3 weeks and have lost 10 pounds and 4 inches. I have so much more energy now and my skin and hair look amazing! I'm also no longer experiencing excruciating heartburn and my blood pressure has gone down. The thing though is that I'm no longer obsessed with food. The reason I know this is a plan that I can live with forever is because I am no longer thinking about how I can't wait for a cheat day! Jorge, One year ago (Jan 01 2009) I was 6'2" and 275lbs. For all of 2009 I ate healthy and exercised 5 - 6 days per week. Jan 01 2010 I was 244lbs but of course still had the belly fat. It really has plagued me my entire life. I've always been athletic, I was a runner, a boxer, a Marine, a personal trainer, I climbed mountains, was weight lifter but the belly fat was still there. My goal is to lose 9" and drop 34lbs minimum in 2010. I've incorporated they Belly Fat Cure lifestyle for the last three weeks and so far I'm down 12lbs and 1" in the waist. The sugar aspect was very eye opening for me. I would eat a pound of carrots in a day without the knowledge of the high sugar content in them. With your book I just check the index and I learn the sugar and carb contents and it makes it very easy to make the right choices. I will obtain my goal with this lifestyle. Just an early thank you for introducing me to this knowledge. I'll keep you posted and get you before and after pics when I get to my goal!
Dear Jorge....Lost 18 pounds since New Year's eve!!! However no inches lost, but I'm going to stick with your 15/6 plan. My question is how do you rate hard liquors , rye, vodka, gin, rum, etc. in terms of sugar content?

Thanks so much for making this eating plan so simple! I have been on a "controlled" eating plan for the last 3-1/2 months (eating prepackaged foods). The diet is really boring and expensive and I wasn't losing as much weight as I thought I should. After I read your book I took a look at the nutrition labels on the packaged foods and shakes and they are very high in sugar and carbs (10-12 grams of sugar in the shakes and 40 carbs in the food). I lost a few pounds but the weight was not coming off around my waist. I bought your book 1 week ago and immediately started eating according to the plan and I've lost an inch and a half off my waist already! I've tried every diet known to man and this is the first one where I've had immediate success. I am so happy and I cannot wait to share it with the rest of my family especially the women. All of the women in my family are built the same way. I call them "barrel" bodies because we have huge breast and huge stomachs. I knew there had to be something wrong with the way we were eating but I could not pinpoint it. It was too much sugar and too many carbs.
Hi Jorge I have tried every diet to loose belly fat and excersie ,even kick boxing class nothing budged the fat. I was on the internet at costco looking for washing machine and I saw the article about costco employees losing weight on your book belly fat cure . I ran to the store to buy the book and started it that day Jan.20.2010 . I lost 10lbs in 4 days and 4inches in my waist . I am so excited that finally that some one found away to get rid of belly fat. I am telling everyone I talk to about your book and how easy it is to change you eating habits. I was 80 lbs over weight and I am 66 years old they say as you get older the metabliosm slowes down your cure has provened that wrong. Thank you, Jorge, for introducing us to this whole sugar/carb concept. My husband & I started your program on 1/04/10 and have lost 10 lbs. & 1 lb., respectively. While my husband's weight is in his belly area, mine is in my thighs & buttocks. Will this concept 'work' in those areas, also, or is there something else I need to reduce/eliminate from my diet? Since our weight loss has slowed (5-4-1 & 1-0-0) over the 3 weeks we've been on the plan, I have started to reduce sodium, as well. I exercise regularly & we mountain-hike every week-end. Your suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

I have had your book for a month and as I have mentioned before I was not someone who needed to loose weight but I always had that belly that would not go away. Anyhow since your book I have noticed a big difference, I feel so much healthier and the belly is going down. It's amazing to me how much sugar there is in so many products, before getting your book I purchased a box of these health bars that I thought were good for me and I looked at the label and there is 27 grams of sugar per bar, just crazy. Jorge your book is awesome, easy to follow. Once you make this part of your lifestyle it becomes easier to stay healthy and keep the belly off! Thanks again for writing such an amazing book!
I enjoyed all your videos and the trailer is awesome. I have been doing the BFC for almost two weeks now and I am starting to have more energy. I don't know if I have lost any weight as my scale at home is broken but my pants feel more loose. My cravings are down now and I have to say the first few days I thought I would die from the carb cravings! I was amazed at how much sugar and carbs are in all the foods I was eating. I am not technically overweight but all my fat is right in my stomach.
I have the same problem finding the Joseph sweetner so am wondering if there is a substitute. If I can just make those brownies I know I can show my belly this summer!

I too would like to know where you can buy some of the products you show in yur book. I went to Costco, since you had awrite up in the magazine - couldn't find but one item. Also, I have gone to Health Stores looking for the sweetner you use in your ice cream recips - I have come to the concludion that it is not carried in most of California. You need to provide a place where these products can be purchased.
I have been enjoying your videos and garnering a lot of useful information from them. I have just started using the BFC, but I am having no luck locating some of the recommended items in the book in our small town. For instance, none of our stores carries the Hershey's Sugar Free Chocolate Chips. I went to the Hershey's website, and although I saw the product mentioned, I couldn't see where to order them online.
On the upside, your book has made me aware of the amount of sugar intake I have had on a daily basis, and now I'm not only reading product labels for fat, fiber and carb info, but for sugar info as well, and seeking out better alternatives where available. I have to tell you that the switch from skim milk to almond milk was the best change of all to date--I LOVE that almond milk! It makes a great protein shake, too. 8 oz. of the unsweetened vanilla almond milk, a scoop of vanilla protein powder and a dash of cinnamon plus an approved sweetener--woweee! A great mid-afternoon pick-me-up!

Jorge, I have reduced my surgar intake over the past month. I feel im eating better,however I have not lost much weight.Also two comments: Is fruit surgar(apples,prunes etc )the same sugar as refined surgar? Also I find it difficult locate some of the brand name products in your recipies. Any suggestions?

I teach group fitness and have been "stuck" with an extra 20 lbs the last 5 yrs. I have tried this since Jan. 1st and have lost 10 lbs simply by replacing splenda w/ stevia and ditching the diet cokes. This is a Godsend for me. I have spread the word and lots of people are jumping on board. I feel great and I thank you so much Jorge.

Hi...I just got this book last week, and it's very similar to a plan I was on where you combine foods and eat fruit separate. The good thing about this is you can have carbs with your protein. For those of you who are not seeing weight loss, you really have to read the labels, the nutritional facts labels can be misleading because some will tell you 0 sugar and if you look in the ingredients, there will be that hidden sugar with the ending "tose" or just plain as day sugar or corn syrup. I only read the ingredients of products not the nutritional facts!!! Luncheon meat has a lot of hidden sugar.
Love the book Jorge and can't wait to try this woe. Are there any free vegetables you would recommend? Also, I didn't realize the carbs in the vegetables, on the other program, I didn't have to count those carbs at all so this might be a little hard since I love vegies(broccolli, cauliflower, green beans) which are delicious with 0/0 cheese sauce made with cream and cheddar. So every little onion you add to a meal has to be counted? You really don't get many vegies because by the time you get your 6 high fiber carbs there's not much room for vegies or vice versa?! Will I get enough nutrients with not many vegies? Jorge, could you please clear this up for me...Thanks~Lisa
This is my second day doing the BFC diet. I am surprised how much I am allowed to eat. I had french toast, scrambled eggs and bacon for dinner. As a snack, I'm having Dove sugar free Raspberry Creme Dark Chocolates. They have no artificial sweetners, 0 sugars, 22g of Carbs for 5 pieces. That is zero for sugars and only 2 carbs. Well worth every one too. I can't wait to measure and weigh on day 7....keep you posted.

I have been eating smart right now and have religiously followed the 15/6 rule. I now believe what they were saying about feeling healthy. I do not have any energy crashes after following your program. I have been excessively drinking coffee prior to the program because I have fluctuating energy levels during the day. I'd usually drink coffee with sugar/milk everytime I feel that I am going "low-bat". Not anymore.
My fear right now is I am moving to Canada soon. I am hoping all the tools & resources available here in the US is available there too. I am sad that I can't ship Clemmy's to Canada. I hope they can ship in the future... :-)

I love your website and all your video's. They keep reminding me about suger intake, which I have been a sugar freak. I have been watching sugar in what I buy and eat. I use DTour diebetic cook book for some of my meals, it's 4fat fighting foods and it has helped. I started walking every day with my dog, who also has a health problems. I need to get your book, BFC. Am I still able to order it and where do I go to do so?
I would also like to purchase the Joseph's Maltitol Syrup, but unavailable on the website since I started the diet 2 weeks ago. I do not have much weight to loose in belly area, but all in lower areas of body. My weight loss has been very little and wonder if it is because of where I need to loose from. I have been following the diet very closely (actually less sugar because carbs get met first). Is there somewhere we can see all your answers as I have the same questions as many others, but never see answers shown.

Is there a place where we can find answers to questions? I would love to the the S/C for other restaurants. In the book, there is only choices for fast food. I would also like to understand about products with less than 4 carbs. According to the book, these don't count, but is that not dependent on the servings? In other words, if I have a low carb chocolate bar that is sugar free, it has 4g of carbs and 0 sugar per block. Would that limit me to 1 block?
I would love a place where FAQs are address more completely. Also, Jorge, I would LOVE to see a pocket guide and a "diary" for keeping track of S/C rather than printing from the PDF.
