Best Moves to Boost Metabolism

Feeling sluggish and unmotivated, or not seeing desired results?

 Don't fret - learn about the best moves to boost metabolism and

burn belly fat first! 

Everyone's base metabolic rate is different, meaning the calories burnt throughout the day vary.  This is all connected to your weight, activity and bone density.  Regulating the rate of food converted into energy, your metabolism is the key to fast results to stay fit faster.   High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) is the ticket to intense and fast results, in the quickest time - plus these moves reap the benefits even after you're done working out with an after burn effect.   

There are specific moves that can jump start your metabolism and kick it into high gear for effective and efficient results to slim down and feel your best. 


Start with your feet together, then step forward with one leg and lower the back leg, striving to create a 90 degree angle bend in both legs.  Bring feet together, then repeat with other leg.  Repeat for one minute. 


Start in a plank position, with your feet together and hands below your shoulders.  Keep your belly sucked into your bellybutton and keep your back straight.  With small steps, walk your feet to your hands, then walk your hands out until you resume the plank position.  Continue walking for one minute. 


Start with feet together, then step forward and out the the side with one foot.  Alternate stepping with each foot.  Incorporate arms for added burn, by raising them above your head with each step.  Continue stepping for one minute. 


Start with feet hip distance apart with arms crossed or at your sides. Slowly bend your legs until your knees  are parallel to the floor.  Make sure your knees don't go past your feet, and keep your back straight.  

OPTION ONE - Hold squat for one minute

OPTION TWO - Return to standing and repeat squat for one minute. 


Movement is monumentally important for fitness.  Think outside of the gym, and incorporate movement into your everyday routine.  

Here are some fun options - Take the stairs, park your car in the back of the parking lot to get extra steps,  enjoy a stroll around the neighborhood after dinner,  walk around during your lunch break or Dance!
