A lot of my clients are always wondering how to boost their metabolism. I tell them to be gluten free to keep their thyroid gland operating at optimal speed. There are luckily so many options now gluten free!
Below are my favorite options:
1. Brown rice is my #1 choice!: Promotes a healthy heart, provides manganese and decreases cholesterol
2. Black Bean Penne Pasta: Made from legumes that are high in antioxidents, iron, calcium, and magnesium
3. Quinoi Pasta: It contains protein, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals
Why is gluten free good for you?
1.Helps reduce symptoms relating to IBS
2.Can give you energy
3.Could prevent bloating
What options are gluten?
1.Wheat: found in bread, baked goods, pasta, cereal, even salad dressings
2.Barley: found in malt, food coloring, soup, and even beer
3.Rye: found in rye bread like pumpernickel, rye beer, and cereal
Stay away from these options as they are not gluten-free!
