Today I was lucky enough to interview New York Times Best-selling author, creator of Primal Kitchen, and my dear friend, Mark Sisson to discuss the two most important nutrients you need in your diet when you’re over 40!
The two most important nutrients are collagen and healthy fats!
Some examples of healthy fats are: avocados, avocado oil, salmon, grass-fed butter, MCT oil, and coconut oil. You can add a tablespoon of MCT oil, coconut oil, or grass-fed butter to your mooring coffee every day in order to satiate your hunger if you are intermittent fasting with us!
In order to get collagen without boiling down the bone marrow of a cow, you will need to take a supplement or a powder. Collagen is the main structural protein in skin and other connective tissues that decreases as we get older. If we take precautions and put this into our body, it helps to maintain healthy structure and function of our tendons, to support the gut, support cardio vascular health, and healthy hair, skin, nails, and even teeth!
